How to check for app updates - VIDEO

  • Las Vegas changes frequently, and so does our app! That's why it's important to check for updates if it has been a few days since you purchased the tour or logged in.

    1. Open the app.

    2. Click the profile at the bottom of the screen.

    3. Click the gear icon in the top right.

    4. Check for updates.

That's it! You can also watch the video.

If you see something that is inaccurate, please use the link in the app to let us know. Thank you!

  • Prior to touring: You need to download the tour via WiFi as the file can be large. Once downloaded the app does not require data or a network. If you want to use the map location feature, (where your location syncs to the stops so you can locate yourself within the tour route) the app will need GPS to function, but GPS is free.

Before you leave your hotel or home: 1- Download the tour. 2- If it’s been a while, or even a few days since you’ve opened the app, check back in and open the app before you tour to check for updates. Vegas changes frequently and our app is updated frequently to reflect the latest changes.

While taking the tour: You do NOT need cellular service or WiFi while taking a tour. You will not be roaming or using data while taking the tour, and the app will still work.

  • Step one: If you phone or app download stalls or freezes, you should check your wifi or internet connection. If you’re stuck, exit from the app, or force quit, and redownload or resume downloading the app. It can help to close out of other apps in the background to enable a faster download.

Step two: If you’re still getting stuck, delete the app completely and try redownloading it from the App or Google Play Store.

Tip: Make sure not to close out of the app while the tour is downloading. Make sure it finishes before closing the app. If the screen goes dark before it’s finished, open the screen again, and it should resume. If it does not resume downloading, visit the App Store again and resume or restart the download.

  • You do not need cellular service or data while taking a tour. You will not be roaming or using data while taking the tour, and the app will still work.

Following these steps will ensure you are not using data to take the tour:

Prior to touring, and before leaving your hotel or home, we recommend you download the tour while still on WiFi. Then, if its be a day or more before you’ve opened the app, we recommend you open the app and log into the tour. The app will automatically check for updates, which should also be downloaded while still on WiFi.

Then, before starting the tour, turn off data and roaming.

  • That depends on your device. Using GPS location services do put demand on your device's battery and cause the battery to drain more quickly. We have tested the app extensively and found that a normal new device battery will easily lat all day using our app, but you do need to be careful how much you use it for other tasks like calls, social media, and browsing.

We recommend you follow the steps listed below in ‘How can I conserve battery energy?’

  • Turn on battery saver - many devices have battery saver features that you should acquaint yourself with in order to make the most of your battery life.

Use flight mode - you can save battery by using flight mode. That way you can still take photos, follow the route. Switch it back on to normal mode if you really need to make a call.

    Turn the screen brightness down.

Carry a spare fully charged battery pack and charging cable.
