Authentic old-school Vintage Italian Vegas - where the locals hang out
Share
There's another side to Sin City most tourists never see: a world of (mostly) free live music, swanky Vegas Italian lounges tucked away in unexpected corners, where the locals hang when they go out, and experiences that won't break the bank. This is our very short list of Vegas locals favorite Italian dining with music.

Swanky, dark, lively, and mob-approved Vegas Dining
Vegas isn’t short of Italian hangouts where the Vegas locals hang out. But this one is tucked away from the busy casinos and congested strip. It consistently gets rave accolades and you’re more likely to see locals greeting one another than a group of tourists being dropped off.
The Bootlegger Bistro (named after the grandfather's illicit line of work). Four generations of a dedicated Italian family, led by Mama Maria (who died at 102) and her husband Al, contribute their combined talents to bring the finest in food, drink, hospitality and entertainment to the many friends and visitors who patronize their venue.
While there is no cover, they do require reservations and to hang out for the free music you need to stay for dinner.
Check their calendar for times and names of performers, billed as Las Vegas's finest singers, musicians, and comedians.

Casa di Amore

Vibrant, energetic, old school Italian
Another Vegas throwback to lively family-style Italian dining is Casa Di Amore, otherwise known as a supper-club. You probably aren’t going to find this in a guidebook or on a list. They don’t need to advertise that way, they’ve been around for a long long time, and they’ve become a classic go to. Another on our list of Italian dining that is a locals Vegas favorite.

Polished Italian meets old school Vegas
For 40 years, Piero's Las Vegas has been the go-to spot for a casino magnates, celebrities, and notable Las Vegas personalities. Plus, it consistently earns 'Best of Las Vegas' honors. The decor is a unique blend of 1980's luxury and lavish comfort.
While it used to be under the radar, and walk-in dining was possible, that isn’t the case anymore. It’s busy, bustling, and you will definitely need a reservation. However, it’s worth the time because once you’re inside, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a whole different era in Vegas.
You won’t find live music here, but you might feel the vibe, as it was a Rat Pack Hangout.
